Holistic Massage
Holistic means the person as a 'whole'.
Holistic massage incorporates the whole person into the massage treatment starting with a personal client consultation which the therapist will establish more about your history, your eating habits, your emotional and psychological well being and how you can incorporate holistic practices into your lifestyle.
Massage is when a therapist rubs the soft tissues of the body, such as the muscles. Massage can be helpful in reducing tension, stress and pain, improving the blood flow of the body and encourages relaxation.
When massaging a client, the therapists usually applies pressure with their hands but can also use their forearms, elbows or feet. This technique is also known as 'no hands'.
Swedish Massage
Swedish massage is a very gentle form of massage which is often used to promote relaxation, improve blood flow and relieve muscle tension. The therapist can use a variations of techniques such as long, gliding strokes and kneading and tapping movements on the top layer of the clients muscles working in the direction of the body's flow to the heart. This also includes moving the joints gently to improve range of motion of the body's ligaments.
